That familiar face, too familiar to believe it to be in that place, compelled me to pull back the last step to the beginning of another milestone of waiting; which was planned to go through the same moments but in an expected manner. I located those eyes to engage them in an unavoidable eye contact to acknowledge the presence of someone equally familiar, equally close, equally inseparable and equally purposeless in that place without the other half.
I decided to fade my focus from eyes to whole face to capture the reaction of that identity of existence that was holding me in that place. And my vision struggled to chase the end above those mysterious eyes unusually saluted by hair locks indulged in puerility brightened in amateur sunlight that had managed to pass through dusty window hanging right above us; orchestrating a strange and undesirable urge to break that eye-to-eye engagement.
I forced my eyesight; to stop at those lips showcasing a confident grin induced by achievement of virtual victory, gained after a long lasted struggle. The half circles around those two points securing the best expression ever, made me realize an urge of the owner of lips to forefend laughter from that smile. The brightness of gladness on that face was defeating the luminance of eyes that had turned wide uncommonly, with eye lashes shivering to hide everything that was explicated by the innocence of them.
To give that smile more freedom and to gain my concentration back on that mute and frozen communication to explain all I had to say, and to listen all that was to be complained; I pulled myself back to those eyes. A few more glances, and felt like had everything that I wanted. Wanted to reach out and touch those curvy wrinkles guarding that smile. Felt and urge to hold that source of happiness in my hands. The surrounding was nothing but another annoying creation of God at that time.
Those few seconds communicated thousands of thoughts impossible to exchange even with remaining all four senses. And the outcome? I witnessed that fragile smile flawlessly melting into an expression of artificial anger; that forced that flag bearer to give in, to maneuver the earlier disappointment and to step into the space to feel even more stronger in possessiveness.

Finally a normal sized post :)
Fantastic read but since you started writing in such twisted and flowery words?
January 7, 2010 10:36 PM
since when u started running out of time in reading oversized stuff :O
anyway, the flowery thing was a demand of the situation :)

It was never lack of time but lack of patience in reading epic sized posts. Dats y i stopped reading urs sometime back :P

January 8, 2010 11:33 PM

OK, I find this a piece well narrated. Though I remain oblivious of the context, I still find the post very gripping… the emotions are well elaborated and eloquent; the details well knitted. Nonetheless, I wish you made some reference to the situation or your subject; that would have helped me relate better…. Or was it an intentional enigma??
January 13, 2010 11:51 AM
accept my gratitude for observing the narration with such deep details. u continue to be proficient judge of my hardwork ! i purposefully didnt make any reference because i didnt want to narrow down or limit reader's imaginations, rather i'd have it so generic that anyone can put him in the frame and have his own version of incident created around the same feelings. it's an intentional enigma :)
January 13, 2010 12:07 PM
and btw, that intension was co-incidental ! when i had written this, i was not at all planning to post. just it automatically turned out to be publishing material. otherwise, was intended to someone specific who was well aware about the context :)

WOW...that special someone !!!
I can bet that she ("she" is an assured assumption ;-) )would be on cloud 9 after the read....
January 18, 2010 1:40 PM
I guess the same smartness of yours; which translated "someone specific" to "special someone"; is concluding it's SHE. Otherwise i never specified that ;) And i believe you are clever enough to find out was it cloud nine or something beyond that :)
January 18, 2010 2:04 PM
Oh c'mon....no one writes something this invigorating & quixotic; just for a mundane "someone specific".
And now that you have confronted my ingenuity, I affirm that it was cloud 9 and nothing beyond ;-)
January 18, 2010 2:16 PM
You seem to be challenging my scope to choose reasons from; to compose something with such narrative effort. Never mind. And going by your instincts, you can assume it was cloud 9 and nothing beyond if that keeps you happy :P as far as i am concerned, i'd like to leave the decision upto the person; who you think is SHE; whether it's cloud 9 or beyond!
